Why Buddhism is True by Robert Wright ... so far not my favorite book, but it is a pretty quick read so far.

I finished that a couple weeks ago. I am not a fan of the author and some of his perceptions, but I appreciated the general ideas and how I could relate them to my life.

This book reminds me of one I read years ago
The Tao of Physics: An Exploration of the Parallels Between Modern Physics and Eastern Mysticism by Fritjof Capra.  It is a bit dated (1975), but it's general ideas are note worthy.

I might check that out. I had read Zen Battles by Thich Nhat Hahn about a year ago or so.

I thought that was a much better book than the one I've just read.

I saw a story where he passed away recently. :frown:

Tynan, the Harry Potter Series was very well written, I’m old and I like it 😝

A friend just loaned me The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, looks like a quick read.

Think I might try that series next.  I’ve heard a few people talk about it on here, better try it.
Keep waiting for the next Patrick Rothfuss book.

You should, they are great page turners filled to the brim with political intrigue, plots within plots, and interesting ideas.

And ya Pat needs to get workin on Doors of Stone....
But Rothfuss is one of the truest wordsmiths out there, and so, I will allow him the time needed.

At this point I imagine he’s justs waiting to release it to hype up the prequel tv series in development about Kvoth’s parents running around doing edema ruh gypsy stuff.

I guess the thing that’s frustrating is the fact Pat said he completed the book years ago, and becames so hostile to any fan who inquired.

I hate to admit it, but I never read after God Emperor. My friends have read all the books and they all told me to stop after GE. Also, every time I've read the first 4, I've read them all in a row. After GE, I'm topped up with that universe, heh.
