Psychology Of The Unconscious by Jung is a very complicated read, a lot is crammed into each paragraph and you really need to apply yourself. It's not really about how the sexual impulse is the governing force of life, that's actually more a Freudian notion, Psychology Of The Unconscious seems to be primarily an analysis of fantasies by a particular case to reveal how the unconscious functions and emits itself into everyday life. There's a lot of discussion on libido but libido as a general energy in the individual, not just the sexual impulse.
I don't really grasp the whole thing myself to be honest, and I've been picking it up every other day and going through chapters and over chapters. It's not something you're supposed to just flick through, Jung spent many intense years researching and writing it.
You need to really set aside good hours of a day, take notes, summarise and digest.
Jung was a smart cookie.

The last few books I've read have been emotionally heavy and I just wanted something easy going to read. I've read one of Bill Bryson's books before so I generally knew what I was in for.

I'm in love with it so far, but I'm only up to page 100 or so. Seems like the readers are drastically divided...either you absolutely love it or you have passionate reasons for disliking it.
I had heard of it but never got around to reading it because of the uninteresting title. Found it in a sales section and figured "why not?"

Dune is one of my favorites. The first 3 books are great imo. I'm about to re-read Drumming At The Edge Of Magic by: Mickey Hart. Anyone ever read it?
