His writing style is so unique and intriguing I love it.

yeah, he was the best creative writer journalists, and best (one of) overall. actually worth the time, for it's bombast. you should look into his paper/magazine articles, they are wicked.

you just reminded me: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gonzo:_Photographs_by_Hunter_S._Thompson

i plan on getting this sometime. looks awesome, i'm sure.

I loved that.  The concept of specialized mammals was amazing.  I believe that was the book where they had gas filled life forms that floated and the hero was named Anny Alehouse because they couldn't pronounce d's

A masterpiece.  Since when do you suppose either of us has felt highly of his fellow man.  1963?

That's about right.:satansmoking: yeah but why give a fuck then. :haha:

I'm going to dig into Death on the Installment Plan next.  Supposed to be more autobiographical about the madness in his own personal hell.  Should be a hoot.:monkeydance:

You're reading it.  You decide.  And no we will not be having a discussion since I read them both about thirty years ago.  I just remember being blown away by Journey and disappointed by Death.
