Trifles For A Massacre, Louis-Ferdinand Celine. Kind of like reading poetry I guess. Reminds me of James Joyce.

Currently reading Prometheus rising...overall I like this book and I think it's interesting and I don't like the subliminal messages about religion in this one.

Please, expound on your problems with agnosticism and Jews.

I dont have anything against agnosticism as long as its not being insinuated or forced. As Judaism yea I dont like this religion and I wouldn't hurt someone because he is Jewish and ill be cautious around them!

Will definitely look into that. My personal musical journey started 8 yrs with a Fender Strat...that I no longer own...and has impacted my life since in many fortuitous ways. The neuroscience behind it all is of course a mystery but Ill be interested to see the author's take. Thanks dodgem.

Hell yah! I come into the thread and we are already talking about Chuck P. It feels just like home! I just got done rereading Survivor earlier this month. (Edit: I guess that was last month already damn time flies)
I'm currently rereading through The Lost World. By far one of my favorite books of all time since reading it as a child. Puts the Jurassic Park movies to SHAME.

Very nice...think I read that some years ago myself. There's no substitute for well cultivated mental imagery.

2nd book is just a bridge to the third, not so compelling in its own right. Esp. compared to the first which is so fantastic.

Quite the mix heh
how is F+L 72? One of the few things I haven't read by him, been meaning to cop myself a copy though. I used to think much more highly of him but recently I re-read one of those books of his letters and honestly the guy just was a ranting lunatic 85% of the time. Either way, he might have some interesting commentary in that book.
Majority has been very good actually! There are parts which tend to drag here and there and as usual you get Hunter's unique approach to American politics in all his boundless lunacy. And of course it also comes with your typical dose of psychedelic drugs
I was reading that book years ago in the county jail I never finished it tho cause of a riot it was pretty good as far as I read and yeah hunter is a ranting lunatic
