Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood, and the Prison of Belief by Lawrence Wright.

Excellent.

Collected Poems By Jack Kerouac, right now im in the middle of reading the poem Old Angle Midnight, its very bizarre and hard to understand, full of made up words and references to things im clueless towards understanding. Interestingly enough contains several references to my home town/current home which Kerouac used to live in many years ago. The rest of the poems in the book ive enjoyed very much so though.

i'm reading the collected poems of ee Cummings.

i find it's almost like being inserted into the middle of a conversation, trying to figure out what the poet is saying, almost bewildered.

I'm reading the demon-haunted world by Carl Sagan right now, and i'm really disapointed by how boring it is - I don't think I'll be able to read it all. I'm really fond of Sagan, but this book is mostly repetitive ramblings.

I'm roughly a third into it and thus far it has been pretty smooth. I'm having a difficulty remembering the Russian names a bit but aside from that it is easy to get into. There have been a few pages of particular profundity that emerged from the overall superb writing but I imagine I have missed some things too. I look forward to reading 'The Brothers Karamazov' (sp?) at some point after.

i finished 1Q84. Wow. A massive novel, at times chilling and heart warming, at times boner inducing.

Now on to American Gods by Neil Gaiman cause it's on the list at a book club in my area

i was peeking at Swamm's Way, and when ever a person is directed to sit at a table in the narrative, it's always stated as "sit at table"

... it boggles my mind, i was like... "fucking no. no one says that... no one would even think that, it makes no sense!? sit AT TABLE? it's AT THE TABLE DAMN!"

The Circuit by Bob Shepherd

I got a Kindle a couple of christmases ago and read a few books on it, but I've given that to someone else now as I just prefer the feel of a real book, hard to explain why. Probably the same reason I like my collection of CD's and records rather having a hard drive full of digital music.
