Just finished Murakami's A Wild Sheep Chase and now I'm moving on to Island.

both of these are fucking awesome. my only complaint is that i'm almost caught up. i still have the prothero to finish up as well as a mind numbing amount of school work over the next month so i'm sure i'll be okay.

Michael Jackson's Complete Guide to Single Malt Scotch by Michael Jackson.
I've been collecting single malts for a while and now have a pretty deep whisky cabinet that's getting better all the time. I've referred to this book throughout the process but am now reading it cover to cover.

Food of the Gods - Terrence Mckenna I am sold on this idea of mushrooms being a catalyst for higher consciousness and thinking. It makes so much sense to me!
Also been reading "The Psychedlic explorer`s Guide - James Fadiman" I would recommend anybody who has a passion for sharing and giving psychedelic experiences should read this book. I have always felt a desire to let people with interest experience the psychedelic realms in a safe comfortable setting. This book also has some great guidelines for both sitter and tripper.

The Sun Also Rises by Hemingway
Not very far, but I really love his style and the subject matter is right on with what I felt like reading at the moment.

It's very interesting and informative, a must read for the serious collector. He's a master at articulating all the nuances of the vast arrays of flavors and aromas found in all the single malts produced in the different regions of Scotland and all that goes into the decades long process of making them. I'm into it.

i should have read the quoted part before what you said cause then i wouldn't have laughed.
anyways i'm reading Apocaypses by Eugen Weber, all about apocalypsis and millenarianism from throughout human history. And it barely talks about mayans so it's a good alternate take on 'time cycles' from what I have been used to. Hopefully I can get to the bottom of this seemingly endless historical mystery.

Haha good one. I've been into Michael Jackson the whisky and beer expert for so long that I totally forgot about that other Michael Jackson.
