Well, I finished a book for the first time in years. Two actually. Read Bukowski's Hollywood yesterday and read Factotum today. I liked Hollywood more, but I definitely enjoyed both.

Holy shit, this book is flat-out hilarious. You wouldn't think the subject would be humorous, but the author is off her rocker just enough to ask some of the fucked up questions most of us wouldn't

Besides the bible, I am reading slowly through this book, "Camping wilderness and survival" by Paul Tawrell.
It's a huge outdoor survival manual, the most definitive I know. It kind of is overkill in some places though.
I figure once I am done reading it, I will have the knowledge to be an expert outdoorsman.

Martin Booth's Cannabis: A History.
-------------------- Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake. -Erik Davis
