So far this has been a waste of my time. I think I'm done with it.

I agree 100%. I remember trying to read that when it first came out.

I'm trying to read The Master and Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov, but I left my copy halfway across the united states. It might be a month or two before it gets shipped to me.

So, in the mean time, I've discovered Italo Calvino. I'm reading Marcovaldo right now, and it's delightful. It's about one working-class man's experiences each season, as he tries to follow the simple dreams of his imagination. =]

I'm gonna order some books on Tantra later today  :derfase:

But right now I'm reading Nature's Numbers by Ian Stewart.  And this book about pruning. :bored:

I got most of the way through Foundation (just the first book, but I did buy the whole series as one paperback).. it's pretty good. I think I just started reading a million other things while I was reading it. It's fairly vivid though, seems like the kinda thing I could pick up and get right back into.

I picked up a collection of essays by Ralph Waldo Emerson recently.  I went straight for Over-Soul and Self Reliance. He was a pretty impressive and inspiring thinker.

I picked up a copy of the Bhagavad Gita at goodwill a few days ago, and just this morning I realized it's the Hare Krishna version. :crankey:

Back to reading Emerson essays, and a strange book about the major players of "abject" (noise/fringe) music called Tape Delay.

Foundation by Asimov.

Haha, yeah, it was a little shorter than I expected when I ordered it. Not only was it 120 pages, but the text was huge and it's an easy read anyway.

Foundation is awesome. =]

Haha, I have a buddy that's real into graphic novels. I used to really razz him when he'd start talking about it, interrupting him and saying "-Oh, which picture book was that in?" and other jerky quips. But yeah, they're graphic novels. Geeks just get uppity about their comics. :smile2:

I'm reading a few different things, but I haven't gotten into any of them.
The Unholy Bible: Blake, Jung and the Collective Unconscious by June Singer
Divorce Your Car! by Katie Alvord
and a collection of Gothic Short Stories.
