The Divine Invasion by Philip K. Dick.  It's the second book in the VALIS trilogy.

Just started The Transmigration of Timothy Archer by Philip K. Dick.  Just finished Thought as a System by David Bohm.

Both totally awesome.

Terrific.  David Peat is truly excellent.  I recommend all of his works with the utmost enthusiasm.

Read that a long time ago.  It was interesting but the biggest take I got was that the author/protagonist was one of the biggest assholes to ever write a book.

Completely agree.

I've read it several times, but every 10-12 months I pick up one of the three RAW books in my main rotation: Quantum Psychology, Cosmic Trigger Vol.1, and Prometheus Rising.  I'll also mix in Wilhelm Reich in Hell, Coincidance and Neuropolitique and occasionally others every once in a while.  But the main rotation is the Big Three.

Give it/them a read if you haven't already.

Be very afraid.

Read Ubik.  If you plan on reading VALIS, my advice would be to wait an read several more of his older books first.  VALIS came near the end.  The whole trilogy is excellent.  Save it and its sister works for later.  Flow My Tears, Three Stigmata, A Scanner Darkly, the Man in the High Castle -- can't miss.

And if you're feeling really rowdy, there's always the Exegesis...

Well, it's complicated and extremely detailed.  But essentially, it involves a fabulously powerful intelligence that begins to contact the main character (who is really PKD), and a number of synchronistic and even supernatural events that beset him over the course of the book, inside of a compelling plot.  So, so good and truly mind-blowing.  It's really thinly-veiled autobiography, you understand.  That's the fun part.

The Rum Diary is a fine little book.  Quite different from what one is used to from Dr. Thompson.  Very early and thus very straight.  But a delightful read.  Enjoy!

Just a head's up for anyone interested:  New Falcon has just re-released, putting into print for the first time in a great while, The Game of Life by Timothy Leary.  Can be found at amazon or at New Falcon's website.

Really is a pretty special book.  New format and size are fantastic.

Just read Farewell, My Lovely by Raymond Chandler. His writing style is awesome. The dialogue is hilarious. Philip Marlowe is a badass, and the story was good.
