Burrough's son did a good one. Crank, or something along those lines.

It's a good one. I was surprised to hear about it, myself.
...the reason I mention it here.

Talk about high school (reading) material.

Just picked up:

And, Phantom of the Opera, which I never got around to reading.

Yeah, I remember reading that when I was a kid and really liking it.
I bet it's the kind of book that has untold depth ... now that I'm a bit older.

My Education: Book of Dreams
Burroughs.

Decent. Had a few laugh-out-loyd moments. In general, I find him to be kinda one dimensionsonal and utterly lacking in human emotion or humility, humor, relevance, etc.

Still, a quick and easy read.

'Civilization: the West and the Rest'

Excellent, confrontational, much needed. I'm liking it so far!

A lot of SciFi fans in here. Anyone read or remember Schismatrix? :awesome:

Bruce Sterling gave faaar better interviews and SXSW talks than he ever did novels, in my opinion...

This nice hardback, illustrated version of The Hobbit.
Haven't read this book in about 20 years so...should be interesting.

Sci Fi and Cartoons are over-represented in this group. Surprise.
