Just started 'Island' by Huxley, 2nd time reading it.

Here are a few I finished in the past month.

Finished Cat's Cradle by Vonnegut earlier today.  Enjoyable overall and quite witty.

'The Science of Living' by Alfred Adler was a decent psychology read.  Good insight into why we turn in to the people end up being as mature adults.

'Neuromancer' by Gibson is a very interesting sci fi read that I finished a couple weeks ago. I was supposed to read it many years back for a sci fi college course I took, but just used spark notes for it.  Glad I came back to it and gave it a real chance.

And then 'The Dharma Bums' by Jack Kerouac was a fantastic book overall.  Very entertaining and insightful.  I can't wait to get his other work, 'One The Road', back from my buddy who I let borrow it.

Just finished, for the 2nd time, Island by Aldous Huxley.  Such a great read concerning the society we live in today.  Amazing how it was written over 50 years ago and almost all of its ideas are prevalent to today's society.

Starting 'Arts and the Man' by Irwin Edman tomorrow.

Reading 'Growing a Farmer' by Timmermeister.  Interesting outlook on starting one's own farm and the process/hardships that occur.

Just finished PHI which was an excellent read on human consciousness and the like.

Started 'Understanding Human Nature" by Alfred Adler yesterday.  I have read a different psychology book by him before so it is a but repetitive, but highly intuitive so far.

Opened 'The Perennial Philosophy' by Aldous Huxley a couple days ago.  It is pretty heavy so it may take a while, but just after the first couple chapters I am hooked.

About to finish 'Damned' by Chuck Palahniuk.  Decent read, but not any where near as well written as some of his other books.

i wanna check that out now.

I just finished this over the weekend and highly recommend it.  It delves into some very interesting and concerning topics about mysticism/spirituality, very applicable information.

I began 'Fever Pitch' by Nick Hornby for an enjoyment read.

And then 'This is your Brain on Music' by Daniel Levitin, which is already thoroughly intriguing 50 pages in.

Lol cool book!
What else did you read for chuck

Me and my sister own them all between us (it has been a fun and interesting topic to converse with each other for the past 10 years), so I have read all but the couple newest ones.  Survivor, Rant, and Invisible monsters are in the top of my list.

Huxley is one of my favorites, no doubt about it.
Island is my top by him, but Eyeless and BNW are also great. That being said I have some book by him that I couldn't even finish... forget the name, but it's a collection of short stories and plays. Just couldn't capture my attention.

Island is definitely my favorite by him as well, such an entertaining, and yet introspective work.  I really enjoyed Time Must Have a Stop and Ape and Essence as well.

I tried reading Grey Eminence by him, and only got 50 or so pages in before I gave up.  One of the few books I have ever started and not finished.  It was a bit of a bore, and covered a topic I was not interested in.

In the middle of 'The Tao of Physics' right now.

A bit dry of a read (which was expected), but does make some interesting connections between eastern mysticism and western atomic physics.

Reading this at the moment.

It goes about it as a conversation between Einstein, Newton, and a present day physicists.  Very interesting take on the subject, but makes it very easy to get the ideas across.

Great read, and one I feel would be good to pick back up every year or two.

Just started 'The Alchemist' by Coehlo
