Was this guy on VH1's the Drug Years? Wasn't he the guy with really messed up teeth?
I wouldn't say his teeth were messed up, but yea, this is him .
Vh1's "The Drug Years" was based off of his book.

I've decided I have to stop trying to read so many books at once! I've got 10 new books, so it's hard.
Right now I'm gonna stick with Child of Fortune by Norman Spinrad. It's a science fiction written in the 1980's and so far I love this writers style. I'm not very far into it, but I can tell it's going to be a wicked ass book!
I found this randomnly in a used book store, I noticed the cover first:
then I read the back and this is what Timothy Leary had to say about it:
"Norman Spinrad has written a sublime comedy - an epic, an extended narrative in the heroic tradition with grandeur and sweep. It's a Homeric space voyage, a Joycean interstellar trip, a Huck Finn saga of humanity's next adventure. It's a literary masterpiece."
I'm surprised Leary actually read this book! Where did he find the time, with sooooo many friends?!
It's pretty tripped out so far, and he has a very unique writing style. Weird that I've never heard of this author or book before buying it...
I'll give you all my opinion when I'm done with it!

ha, seriously thats a guy I could get along with just fine. Id drink with that guy all the time if I lived during his time

This modernist writer chick whose name Im forgetting was always pissed that she didnt get credit for creating the modernist classic even though she claims she wrote it before Joyce did. One of her books she published in like 1910 or something. Joyces only comment back was something like, 'I hate intelligent women' or academic women, something like that. Great stuff

In that pot culture there is how to roll a blunt by red man and how to make a can pipe by Steve-0 and everything. I mean everything about smokin pot.
The mushrooms handbook is good.
Chuck Palahniuk is always a good read.
