enviroment and teachings are the simgle most important factor on if u make the "right choice" but eventually the "right choice" will be easily seen instead of having to be taught

the age of the earth is billions of years old accourding to science, the bible claims it to be like 10,000 years old or something

our brains will be massize and will hold more knowledge than the modern genius
imagaine a world full of einstiens i dont think we'd still carry the idiot animal traits
Brain size doesn't mean a thing . The average human only uses 5-7% of it's brain capacity now . A bigger brain won't make us any smarter , learning to unlock the power of the one we already have might be a little more realistic . Peeps say things like we could be telepathic , all this kind of stuff . I've always thought that God might be 100% brain usage . After all , we are supposed to be made in His image . Maybe he gives us the brain , just not the ability to use it all . Who knows ?
There's got to be something better then man somewhere . PLEASE . I'd be very dissappointed if we are as good as it gets . I , myself , would rather live with apes .

I think you're confusing the bible w/ religion.
science and religion can work together and science can NEVER disprove the existence of god

ah, things make a little more sense now that I read your following posts and that you come from indianapolis ( known for being horrible homogenous and having plenty of bible thumpers to boot ).
Religion =/= Christianity,
especially not American fundamentalist christianity. Methinks you haven't been exposed to a form or practice of religion that can bring about a truly spiritual experience and are as such confusing religion with fundamentalist stupidity. The way you are describing your views on life and science can be interpretted as religion, and I would venture to guess that it is in fact your own religion, though you would not call it so. In some other languages, religion roughly translates to life or culture, there is no strict separation as there is in English.

I may have been too broad throughout this hole post and i apologize I was trying to realate in terms of god not religion. I was trying to not let those live there lives with false hope of a god and being dissapointed with nothing. FOR THAT IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN
Instead look forward to what the future may offer.
PS Sice when is Indy known for bible thumpers? If you ask me Indy is poor and crime riddin

mungojerry said: With that said I can reach my true point of this post. Man will continue to evolve and change just as we did from ape, eventually we will begin to notice our human form becoming different then was traditionally perceived. Looking at an evolution scale one can see the next phase of man will be a slimmer body, larger head, taller and smarter. Our brain will continue to contain more knowledge eventually reaching a point were present day man will be perceived as monkey. Think about it, the possibilities of our future brain are limitless. Future man exceed human potential and thinking. Perhaps a form of telepathy or second form of communication would appear. There's no boundary to what could exist in the highest evolved being on earth. A higher higher form of conciseness will evolve as well, just as we are more conciess than animals, future man will be more concise than us. The next series of man would mock in comparison to our present day selves. A smarter, more civil, rational and peaceful being will be born. Eventually a higher being is born and a part of the animal in us dies. No longer will man murder, rape, fight or steal. For we will be guided by our new instincts and not our primitive ones.
It is my opinion that we as a species are de-evolving. I don't know about you but I see the least successful people have the most kids. The traits that get expressed are from those that reproduce. These are the walking uteruses and the men that impregnate the many women. These people are the ones that are deciding our evolution, those who aren't being responsible sexually. Also we poison our gene pool by allowing the "weak" to survive and reproduce potentially with the "strong". Not to say that these are the only people reproducing but they make up a large number of the population. Those who are smart enough to be responsible would more than likely have only a few children if none at all. This is opposite of what should be happening to strengthen us.
Well than again their are the elite that I guess would reproduce with only the elite. By elite I mean not sub par. Does that mean that there will evolve an elite set of humans and a sub par set of humans? Hummm... never thought about that until just this post.
Of course this all just an opinion of probably a sub par human.

disappointed??? do you mean miracles or afterlife? either way you can believe in god but not in either of those.
Look forward to what the future may offer???
isn't that what people praying to god are doing? Looking for something better? And why look to the future of evolution you won't be around to see it?

if you havent seen waking life you definetly should. there is a scene where they discuss this exact topic. i belive there are 2 possible paths. 1 we continue, we arch, and branch of from the fractal. and as you said we become a neo human race built around human ideals and human constructs. order, fairness. freedom. or. be spiral and end. no new branch of. just one more echo of the grand tone. either way i feel the WHOLE THING is whats inportent here.

i would have moved off the topic of god a long time ago, my original goal of this post was to demonstrate how to reach a level of conciessness greater than that of modern mans similar to that of future mans

A scientist doesn't always look for proof of existence but sometime he looks for proof that it doesn't exist.
Live your lives peacefully? I thought that's were evolution was leading us?

This is one thing I don't like about these message boards... once you start talking about religion you find very few supporters. Religion is almost always a very heated topic and people are very reluctant to change their beliefs. Nobody wants to be wrong about this... but really we have no control over the matter... and we probably aren't even close to how it really is.
