Sick and tired of half pint jars!

Hey everyone,
I am running around in circles cooking with brf in half pint jars. Here is my procedure
1.) I steralize 24 half pint jars in the pressure cooker. 2.) I make the food and put it into the jars topped with vermiculite. 3.) Put the jars back into the pressure cooker for 45 min at 12 psi. 4.) Inoculate the jars and put them into the incubator.
Is there any way to speed this process up? Bigger jars? Different substrate? I am looking to increase my yields but this half pint shit is not working...
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
N20forme

are you pressure cooking empty jars? i hope not, that is a waste of time.
other than that, fuck BRF. use WBS or rye in quart size jars.

I use full pint jars for my cakes. It's obviously not faster. But by using liquid culture and coffee in my substrate, it's actually about the same time to birth as a half-pint that doesn't incorporate them. And I get about 3-4 times the yield (more than enough for me and my friends).
If you're concerned about quantity, spend the $15 and get a bag of some hpoo. I was intimidated by casing when I started my first grow. Now I can't believe why I simply didn't do it from the start. It's really no more work. And I could have had atleast 10 times what I grew if I would have just mixed my cakes in with some crap in a tray. Eh.

WBS... much better process. You can fit more sub into a jar (quarts or spaghetti/pickle/whatever jars). They also can colonize much faster. But, 1/2 pints and pints are not too much trouble either.

you can save time by skipping your step 1... its not really serving any purpose.
even with half pints, ive used 6 crumbled cakes as spawn to a bulk substrate in larger (10x12x3") baking trays, with the rest of the trays filled with coir (though you can use poo, compost, straw, a mixture thereof, etc.) and said trays typically give up around 2oz dry give or take through 3 flushes... not a bad return on an investment of 6 cakes if you made 4 such trays from your 24 jars you're talking some pretty serious yields.
of course the same can be accomplished with a quart to one and a half quarts of wbs (usually would use 2 quart jars that are filled about 2/3rds, since you dont fill those to the brim when you prep 'em) and it works about the same with less preparation and slightly quicker colonization time...

you can spawn your 1/2 pint colonized jars into horse poo...
and try out bulk substrates!~
or you can step up to Quart jars and use WBS, Rye Grain, Millet...etc.
Eventually your gonna want to get into bulk substrates.
