3rd and final attempt at LC's

Welp, my last attempt went bunk, again. I'm guessing I had too much karo each of the times before. So, today, I am trying 2 last jars. They're still sitting in the PC as it cools.
The first jar today, I am using a 1 qt jar. The jar had a teaspoon of karo added, and was filled half way with water, with agitators added.
The second, I am using a half pt jar. The jar I put a little under a half teaspoon in, and filled it about 60% of the way with water. An agitator was also added.
If i can't get it this time around, I'm gonna call it quits and wait until more spores wander along my way. At this point its becoming a bit of a waste Wish me luck! I'm planning to innoc either late tonight, or else tomorrow sometime.
Do the measurements sound a bit better than last time? (for those who read my other thread).

Dump the Karo syrup and go with light malt extract and dextrose. Since I switched a year ago, I have had zero failures. Plenty of nutrients available in a malt/dex solution.

The problem is I work or have class the entire day, and I can't drive to the nearest brewing store About the best I can come up with would be pure fructose, but even that is granulated.

I just use plain ol' honey. It's never failed me. It may not be the best thing to use, but hey, it sure gets the job done, so I'm not complaining.

Hell, I even gowith five grams and have never had issues - even after attempting to clone by just stabbing at the stipe, having nothing go into the needle, and then just picking a thread of stipe interior, WITH MY FINGERS, and just throwing it in the LC container.
And my house is fucking FILTHY. Seriously, it's bad. Trich spores (and occasionally, live trich itself) on things other than growing medium. We're lazy.
Granted, odds are I'm a lucky son of a bitch, but I've done countless isolates, transfers, and spore germinations in this kind of LC, and only had contamination with ONE culture, probably due to the actual sporeprint, so don't give up too soon. The speed and the raw volume of innoculant you can simply generate is well worth it(while I'm at it, might I recommend the excellent Baby Bottle method located at http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/4141612#Post4141612 ?).
Sounds like you've got some decent equipment, how much karo by weight are you using, and exactly what brand/variety/etc.? How long are you sterilizing it? What pressure?
