Time Constraints - Case or Not?
    #600777 - 04/06/02 06:30 PM (21 years, 8 months ago)

Ok, here's the situation. My FOAF moves from his current place at the end of April, but his new apartment won't be ready til later in May. During this time he's going to tour the country, visit friends/parents/relatives etc..., but this is the dilemma. He has 3 Equador jars (PF style) that will be ready for birth in maybe 3-4 days or so. He has heard that casing will produce better results, but also that it may delay pinning.

The question is this: since he only has 3.5 weeks or so to achieve results, would it be better to just stick with the cake method and follow the PF Tek through, or case them and hope something gets done in time?

The B+ jars cannot be done by then anyway, so he will donate them to a good friend who will finish the process on those. He would like to see something nice before vacation.

Soo.... to case, or not to case? That is the question.

ecuadors are usually very fast-3.5 weeks should be ample time to complete at least 1 flush-i moved 2 terrariums to a new apt not long ago-didnt hurt my babies at all- i would suggest moving them at night with a blanket over your terrarium-my casings usually on run about 3-5 days behind cakes-i dont even see why people bother with cakes-but hey you got to start somewhere
