I just received a spore print from Ralphster's free spore ring (came quick!).
It is labeled 'Tex'. What is it? hm.........

i dont understand the deal with labeling every strain around the gulf coast states, gulf coast, i think some of them deserve different names, theres no way its all the exact same strain... why not just the texan and not texan gulf coast... esp if it looks totally different

good! because the GC already encompasses enough strains... when someone says your getting a GC you could be getting one of several strains that have came from GC states

I agree,I was just talking about this with a friend of mine.

The GC from SE GA is completely,100% different than the GC in say AL,or MS.

Whats your take on this?

i would def say that they would be different-why couldnt they migrate and evolve over hundreds of years to other states,and different enviroments-this would cause the strain to change,to meet its enviroment-
so an AL gc,ti me is a AL,a TEX,and so on according to the state-altough i dont hear of too many peole takin wild prints :smile:
i plan to this summer-i have a pan field i alabama-:)
now thats a rare thing:)

Treasure coast is on the Atlantic side. Gulf coast is on The GULF side.
