Constant helicopter Fly over, looking in my room!
    #6004588 - 08/28/06 12:59 PM (17 years, 8 months ago)

Im worried about a police helicopter which keeps flying by my room at low altitude. Which appears to be positioning itself to look into my bedroom window. I am growing 2 kratom and 1 psychotria on the window and I think they might be drawing negative attention. Should I be concerned about a raid or anything?

if that's all youre growing, i would peek out the window next time you see the chopper and just smile and wave. neither of those plants are illegal to grow or possess

I know its legal, it doesnt mean stupid pigs know its legal. I smoke marijuana sometimes and I have a dirty pipe, and probablu some stems around the house. I dont want them raiding my house and finding little stuff and losing my financial aid because of a little hunch. I thought about waving at them, but then I didnt want them to get pissed off. I dont trust cops or there judgement.

It wouldn't matter even if they found the pipe/stems, If they are raiding you for suspected plants then they can't just charge you for something they didn't know about.

Moeron, is that so? So they can only bust me for something they have on the warrant? What would they do about any other stuff they may find? Just ignore it? Or would they confiscate?

the other items would probably be confiscated, but if theyre not listed on the search warrant specifically you can bet on that evidence being tossed out in court

I would confront them man. Let them know you see them, and go outside or something. Dont move the plants. They will obviously get the hint that you are not trying to hide anything, and maybe not jump to such quick conclusions.

i see no reason to worry.

how often has this happened? are 100% its a police copter?

does your town have a reputation for grow houses?

do you have any grow lights going?

if you answered YES to any of those questions, then maybe they think your growing herb?

but anyway.... the plants in your window, look nothing like pot. they house plants as far as any local LEO is going to be concerned.

i doubt many trained DEA agents could even ID them on the spot...let alone flying by in a copter.

so unless your doing something to would attract the attention of the authorities( IE: dealing or growing herb) then i would not worry.

Im 100% sure its the cops. They were close enough for me to read "POLICE" and see the typical blue and white. They have gotten with in viewing distance of my room at least 3 times, and they fly by often. I dont think theres a reputation for grow houses. I live in an apartment, and Im growing the plants right on my window, but it seems to me they keep checking anyhow. I have a 70 watt fluoro, but its not in use and I only use it for rooting cuttings or sprouting seeds and getting them through the seedling stage. I havent used it in months. I've never dealt or grown herb before. Too risky, I live in a little aparment with a little old lady. Im just a plant collector, I dont mean any harm.

I do all sorts of fun stuff for them, theres choppers overhead here at least twice
a day, I've walked out naked a few times, gone out actinng all squirrely with a
rifle, never pointed it at anything though, lately since I've been working I cut
small areas of grass (60 cres of unmowed fields. the fresh green shows up nicely)
sometimes it's random weaving about, others it's a distinct path for them to
follow, some days they do... I'm going to try writing messages next season

that sort of thing takes serious planning, it's better to try it with your lawn first, I'd hate to lose a field of pot because they noticed something odd
