So I like never watch TV, and I think last time I went to the movie theater was 2 years ago or so for kill bill. I do enjoy a good film however. I saw V for vendetta recently at a friend's house and that was pretty cool. It made me wonder what other good movies have come out lately or in the past 5 or so years that I haven't seen. I like movies that don't suck. And are epic. With good plots and acting, underlying universal themes and metaphors. Shit that is deep. Any recommendations?

The Constant Gardner was so depressing. When it was over I was like.. damn that really sucks. It makes you more aware of how things are in the world but I'd rather not be aware because there isn't a damn thing I can do about it.

And this one is a bit older but kind of rarely seen, it has an evil dead vibe to it with the black-haired square-jaw hero killing off zombies which are rising from the cemetary he owns. The thing is he won't go for help because his cemetary will be shut down/people don't believe him. There's a psychological edge/love story to it too as town punks spread word that he's impotent and he falls in love with a widow of one of the dead in his cemetary.
The name of it is:
