Tripping Around Retards

Last night . . while tripping balls on LSD, I passed by the neighborhood retard to and from the store. His family had brought him down to bring him somwhere in a car. As they're putting him into the car, he's fighting getting into the car while making some really load groans. The thing that irks me is that I could feel him communicating with me. It felt like I was the only one that understood him . . the only one with a mind state as altered as his. As he groaned, he conveyed his pain and sufferring to me. At first it freaked me out, but then I came to an understanding.
Anyone with a similar experience?

that sounds pretty intense dude and im sure u really could empathize for him. ps. not to be a dick or anything but you could call them mentally challeged or anything not quite as degrading as "retards"

usually I have a very high affinity for people that are paced differently: autism schizophrenia or changing from baseline to peak on some lovely chemistry. many dogs too. and babies as well.
it bothers my wife that these people will just come up to us and often will start talking (grunting or gesticulating) like we are old friends or something.
the babies are a real plus, I try to play it down. this intensifies the authentic connections and disarms the messy ones.
people are always asking me what I am doing to make the babies look at me from their strollers as I go by.
I guess it's bidirectional this pacing thing.
(though I do adult work and pay the bills and hardly fool around, I must be operating at a baby pace)
I must have picked it up from lsd.

I also took some acid last night, I saw a dead armadillo on the side of the road and felt kind of bad for it for about two seconds.
... not that this has anything to do with retards

I don't understand how people can get so offended by words. It's not like KingDavid went off on a huge rant about how he hates retards, he simply used the word to describe a person who's retarded. Words only have as much power as you give them, and when you react by saying, "don't say that word, it's offensive!," you give the word power to degrade people. Retard isn't a bad word unless you see it as a sign to something improper or offensive. I guess my point is: words are just signs, they're not the thing they signify.
-------------------- The story goes, or the way that I was told There was a king that always felt too high and then he fell too low And so he called all the wise men to the hall And begged them for a gift to end the rises and the falls But here’s the thing, they came back with a ring It was simple and was plainly unbefitting of a king Engraved in black, it had no front or back But there were words around the band that said Just know: This Too Shall Pass

I'm really interested in tripping around 'mentally challenged' people. I worked at a community where they live and get looked after (I was just cleaning the place). Many of them looked like they were tripping balls lol. The way they'd just stand somewhere and watch and enjoy all the things around them reminded me of the first time me and my friends tripped in nature. It made me wonder if they're in some kind of constant trip state or something. I think it'd be an amazing and valuable experience to trip with them.
