Are the lids lossen? They might be haveing trouble "breathing" if the lids are tight and the inoculation holes are still covered. A lose lid with foil on top should do fine.

Well providing the proper gas exchange that myc growth will take off that means removing tape then loosen lids a bit and flipping them. Yes you can certainly cut corners but it will cost you yield as well as a lesson not learned (patience) aside from that clean off all uncolonized substrate and rinse cakes under the sinks faucet then throw them in a tupperware container with distilled water and a shot of h2o2 over night then make up your casings the next day. GL with that
-------------------- Getting the most out of your casings!, A pinning strategy. Oyster Shell "Flour" $2 for 1lb. a hell of a deal Not what is overlay but rather what overlay is Gas Exchange vs. FAE "We all have priorities. I used a closet once setup a nice little lab trouble was all the shit that was in there ended up in the bedroom that pissed off the GF then I ended up dumping her as she was getting in the way of my sterile culture technique! Ya I got priorities too!!!"
