help with unhealthy looking plant

i just got this salvia plant in the mail yesterday. today it has black spots on it. is this bad? any suggestions?

hello looks like normal wear and tear from shipping. could be from getting a little to cold or lack of humidity it will recover and the new growth will be green as ever very hardy specie this salvia . peace

Yeap, that's from the mail ride, just give it plenty of humidity for a while, they like that.
Your're lucky, mine arrived on a worse condition, it survived though.

It is a good idea to find out the environment in which the plant was grown and simulate those conditions, before slowly acclimatising the plant to its new environment. For example the plant may have been grown in humid conditions and your house is dry, if this is the case put the plant in a home made mini green house (a plastic bag will do) with some form of support (sticks will do). Slowly (weeks) expose the plant to its new environment.

Any new leafs will be adapted to the conditions in which grown.
