As I said before I have nothing against this idea, that is why this thread is in the vendor forum for people to see.
He posted in the Vendor and Spore Exchange forum, I edited out the spore exchange forum because it does not belong there.
This has ZERO to do with censorship, I'm tired of people bitching about that, so please understand this very clear point that he cross posted (a no no) and posted in the wrong forum.

thor handled everything properly, and the price sheet is not a very good idea. there is too many variables. yeah vender X is 50 cents cheaper than vender Y, but takes X 2 months to get your supplies, where Y has em to ya in a week, at the same time, vender P has his syringes for 9 bucks, and vender D has his for 11, so ya buy a few from D, and they are absolute SHIT ( lol and ,may have took 2 months to get there).... of course, with the price list, you got to include, how nice their website is, do they have pictures of shrooms, and all the other bullshit, that it seems from listening in on the forums, is a big factor of being a good vender.."really lmfao"

Do you have any idea how much a site entailing lists of constantly changing prices would entail. It would require user comments, sales, quality of product, and a bunch of other things. It is not the place of this communtiy to regularly update such a list. People who are regular readers of this site know to shop around for the best deals and to try out different vendors. The only possible remedy would be to use php or some other web programming language to list all prices on the vendor sites, then put an include on the vendor list price detailing prices with the addition of user comments. stupid me, all this time, i thought that is what this whole forum is about. My bad.

By making it sticky, that would be like the shroomery endorsing or okaying it when it fact it is far from useful. Too many intangibles not included, too much biased. He has picked and chosen which strains to list. It has to have more than just prices. When you buy something, is that the only thing you look at...the price? You don't look at quality, reputation, support? It doesn't make any difference to you whether or not the 'vendor' has enough mycological experience to answer any questions you might have later?
Some vendors are in this because mushrooms are thier life, they hunt them, photograph them, learn about them....other vendors are only in it for the money and know nothing about mushrooms, just 'internet marketing'.
I'd go with the vendors who have 'paid thier dues', they deserve your business!

some people prefer to read and ask questions on here rather than there vendor.... i know i would these are the people this page is important too... there are some who care only about price.... a few dollars means a lot to some when it doesnt to others... you people who say if you think its too much you shouldnt be in this hobby should just really shut up because lots of people enjoy this hobby on extremely low budgets.... afoaf prefers to go all out... but some people cant.... and a dollar saved anywhere makes for more cash for supplies

You're absolutely right: a price listing website would be necessarily unfair and incomplete. Moreover, this page relies on its vendors and clear favoritism of that sort would be unethical, to boot.
Most important, as far as I'm concerned, is the fact that newbies should be able to show the dedication that proper research entails. Frankly, if you're too lazy or stupid to figure out how to get a fair deal, you're too lazy or stupid to be doing drugs in the first place.

Newbie or not.
I keep thinking of all these things to say in order to convince you that what you say about how important this price list is, is total bullshit.
But it seems to me that anyone with half a brain and even knows how to post in this thread would already know.
