Perlite Humidity reading 81%?

I checked the calibration, could it just be time to add more water?

I would have to say its probably toast.Ive bought 3 or 4 of those cheap pet store ones and have never seen one work right.I gave up on that and just gauge the condensation on the side and lid of the terriaum.If you have water droplets every where, then you should be around 90% or more (Assuming you are yousing damp perlite and are not creating the droplets yourself by misting)

You might not be yousing a cheap humidity gauge , by cheap i mean 20 or less

hehe, trying to say I'm cheap???

I got mine from a cigar shop, cost $35, and is the size of a credit card, works great, I check the calibration too (tupperware with damp salt) right on the money...

Just added more water, humidity is up to 95%
