ID please? Amanitas(?)

I have these mushrooms whick look exactly like Amanita rubescens or Amanita novinupta, which are closely related. Desctriptions say it could be either but they both say that there is a white spore print. The ones I have have a pinkish brown spore print, and bruise pinkish very quickly. I know they most likely are not active, but I would just like an ID to clear the confusion. Is it just one of those with a coloured spore print?

What was it growing on? Is it possible you have a Volvariella species?

Just mulch, I think. I looked that species up, and no similarities. The description for the two I mentioned said a white spore print and no odor, but these smell strong from the start with a brownish pink spore print. Probably just one of those though.

If the spore print isn't white, then it isn't an Amanita.
A brownish pink spore print suggests it belongs in Volvariella or Pluteus (assuming you verified that it has free gills), or Entoloma (if the gills are attached). The difference between Volvariella and Pluteus is that Volvariellas have a volva and Pluteus don't. Both grow from wood.

Thank you for your reply, but it resembles neither of those species. The gills are free yes.

Volvariella is a genus with about 10 species in North America. Pluteus is also a genus with about 50 species.
If your mushroom has a basically pinkish spore print and free gills then it is almost certainly a member of the Pluteaceae (there are a few Entolomataceae with free appearing gills), and falls into one of those two genera.
The next question is if it has a volva. If there is an obvious volva, then it is a Volvariella. If there is not, then verification that there is no volva needs to be done with young specimens.
