yeah i reccomend cold turkey aswell, how long have you been smoking before you go to bed? that could be one of the big probs with your insomnia.
once you get off of it your sleeping patterns should turn to normal.

Throw out your bang, delete your dealers phone number from your cellphone stop hanging out with people who smoke a lot.
Throw out your weed and lock your door...
Now stay inside for 3 days (those are the hardest in my experience) and try to sleep as much as possible. Make sure you drink some fruit juice cause trust me you won't be eating much. Take some supplements to make sure you won't loose that many vitamins and other crap in your body...
When you've passed those 3 days you've been through the hardest part... Now comes another hard part. How to go out with friends that smoke? Well that's easy. Make sure that they know that you want to stop and tell them straight in their face that they DO NOT offer you any weed. It's easy to just sit and let the bong pass through you than saying no... When someone offered me weed I always said YES! I just couldn't help it...
Maybe you're stronger and CAN say NO to others but I can't, not that I'm weak but the temptation of weed came too close...
I'm trying to stay clean but yesterday my bro came by yesterday and asked if I wanted to come to a friend of mine who I haven't seen in like 5 years now... So we came there and there was this HUGE brick of hash there... (200 Euro's worth) and dammit just had to try it... Who could say no if they saw such a huge brick?

what is so hard about stoping smoking pot?? i dont mean to get down on you, but its really not hard. the stuff isnt physically addictive. maybe you just have an addictive personality, and pot is just what you happen to be into at the moment.
try to get yourself addicted to something else; maybe going to the gym.

It's really not like that. For you weed might be no big deal but for many people it is and its a problem for them. Going to the gym just doesn't provide that same instant gratification weed does. I find the hardest thing about giving up weed is that theres nothing that can replace it really. Everyone always says stay busy blah blah read books blah blah basically pick up a new hobby but the thing is nothing really can replace weed so you have to make a sacrafice and give up something you like and its not easy.
