Contam over powered?

A friend of my uncle(really, it's not me) noticed a small green spot about the size of a crayon tip (best comparison he could think of) on the bottom of his jar, right about at 90% colonization. He had already lost alot of jars so he let it go, now they are birthed, and the green spot is still there, but the myc has grown all around it...uhm...should he toss it, the green has not spread, and looks sorta dry.

they are BRF/Verm cakes

if the green spot is on the bottom.....you could cut it off.
cut back the bottom of the cake 1/4" then put wet verm on top.
then watch the cake....to make sure it doesn't come back.

Just make sure you cut all the green off the bottom of the cake.

You still might get this cake to fruit.

It's such a tiny spot, I don't think it had time to get root in my cake, besides, my friend just noticed his first pin, and out of 4 cakes, it was on that one:)

would those mushrooms be safe if he were to birth it.. i have the exact same problem

im going to wait for those to come through, then bleech dunk(1:100) it or h2o2 dunk(1:10) it
