Well, I'm new the whole mushroom thing, so after reading all the info I could find on the internet I decided to get a grow kit. After following a few links, I somehow ended up at sporechicks. I sent off my $90, and after a month or so, became worried, found this site, and learned that my chances of actually gettin my kit are slim to none. 15 hours of work at my weekend job down the drain. Of course, the silver lining is that I found this site. Anyone have a suggestion on a better way to get started?

This is where modern the syringe method all started. You will need to buy some a couple of other things in a grocery store but the instructions posted on this site and the sringies I hear are really the only way that a newbie should start.

actually i feel the MMGG is a better way to get started, and the faq here, Check out hte magic mushroom growers guide and the faq on the grow/find section here at the shroomery... The MMGG is kind of a evolved PF tek and it does give him credit.... I know of quite a few newbies who followed this tek and had great results

why dont Ralphster or Thor or someone on this site who knows these bitches give them a call and tell them to pull they're website down? I mean over the past few months we see newbie after newbie come here pissed off at sporechicks. If they re not gonna do business then they need to close the site.

Someone needs to hack their shit, crash there website, do what hackers do.... deal with these bitches. They are WELL aware that thier site is still up, and are taking peoples money, cashing their moneyorders.. but sending jack. I used to stick up for sporechicks when people were bitching, not anymore. What they are doing is bad bad bad.

Back to the subject of Spore Chics.
Yeah someone could have a hacker take out the Spore Chics website.
If someone was to take them out.....they should keep their mouth shut.
And not take any glory in doing so..... Hacking a website is a serious crime.
And they do go after hackers with no mercy.
One of my security specialist friends took out the NY City School Districts main frame...aka Darksting
He was caught and had to pay over $40,000.00 in fines.
So be very careful what you say.....and how you say it.
Just a word from the wise.....so to say.
I'd rather see them get a fraud charge against them.
They are definately up for some very bad Karma!!!

i dont know what their deal is but they sent me a kit after i was very persistant and told them if they didn't plan to send the shit i'd at least like my money back. after that they sent it express and i got it in under a week but still over 2 months since i ordered it. i found their site through a link on sporeworks which has been removed. i imagine they know the 'chicks and could give them a call.

I ordered spore syringes from sporechicks. I havent got them sent to me yet. Lucky me, I have a nice uncle who is a lawyer. So he had me use the receipt stub of the money order to get the evidence I needed to take them to civil court and file a claim. On the M.O. stub, it has a 800 number to call to see if the check has been cashed. And i spoke to their customer service lady. She is sending me a copy of the actual check and the location where it was cashed. That is all I need to screw them good. If everything goes right, they will HAVE to take down the site, or post that they are not accepting orders "at the present time". Honestly, its sad that they would attempt to rip people off. Crime is crime.... do something obviously stupid and you will get caught. And a big lop of bad karma on top of that? Man oh man.

i don't blame you and i don't feel bad for them. it's one thing to go out of business but to continue taking people's money is out and out wrong. if i remember correctly their po box is in texas but their emails came from a san francisco @home account. they're probably out there and have some sort of forwarding service. good luck, let us know what happens.

I almost ordered a kit from them a few years back, they kept trying to con me into it with e-mails but I changed my mind.. I imagine the spore-chicks know damn well they are being sent money and are spending it on spore-dildo's or spore-crack.
But I have not actually been ripped off by em..
