Why grow pan cya?
    #5976756 - 08/18/06 08:57 PM (14 years, 8 months ago)

Hi, after 2 sucessful grows, I have to say that I am very, very pleased with my grows. First of all, I want to thank EVERYONE that participates here because i've learnt a lot of information, and I can't express my thanks enough. But I have to wonder, I see other people trying more exotic/harder strains and I have to wonder, is it really worth it? I mean, I only grew approx 4 cakes, but they gave me over 20 g DRY, which is nothing to most of you guys, but that's enough for a good month for me in the least. All the other exotic strains have basically is more potency right? So why not just grow more shrooms? What about Azure/cyan makes them worth growing even though they are 100 times harder. The highs should theoretically be the same right (just eat more cubes)? Thanks for reading.

every kind has a different quality of high than just taking more of one kind will achieve.

Why eat more when you can eat less of a more potent.. Unless you love the taste?

its about the challenge for some, about the potency for others but most of all you have to remember that for quite a few people here mycology is a lot more then just a way to produce something to trip out on,its a way of life and/or a hobby they take very seriously.I have never done PS cyan or cope/pan cyans but I have done saucers (azures) and they were very different then any cubes I've done.its not just about increasing the amount of psilocybin and psilocin that effects your trip but there are a lot of other chems like baeocystin that effect the trip which from my understanding are in MUCH higher concentrations in the azures/cyans

It's all about the growing, not the tripping. I'll venture to say that many of the growers here don't even eat psilocybe mushrooms, and others stick to once or twice per year. It's about the challenge of growing as many species as one can. The edibles are fun too, because they're so much harder and more of a challenge. They also taste so good fried up for breakfast or cooked on the BBQ grill outside.

i enjoy the grow more than the trip, it is a really fun hobby. it is a little more fun because you have to be sneaky, of course.

I really don't like tripping on shrooms but my friends do. I feel the same way about growing shrooms as I do about cooking. When my friends call me the next day and tell me that they had the best time on shrooms I gave them its like them saying that they really enjoyed a meal I cooked for them. Make me happy making them happy.

But after started i got fascinated by the science and terminology behind the growing. Im gonna be ordering some edible ones soon and have several cases of em growing.

I've always found hunting/picking and more recently growing to be pure fun. Whereas tripping can be hard work
