I am about to start my mono tub and I am wondering if I must implement casing into my system.....If I do need to do so...I am not entirely clear on casing with mono tubs....If someone could help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

i researched this alot last night, yes u need a casing with poo. Poo is the only caseing that can keep the huminity right and keep it for a while. Jus do a search for mono tubs and read on.

actually, you don't need to case poo, or case anything in a monotub. for poo if you'd like to get away without a casing, you can lay down sheets of damp wax paper over the surface, changing them for clean ones every day or two, then removing the paper all together when pins develop. (ive never personally done it so if its a route you wanna take i suggest reading up a little more, i think it matters which side up you use since wax paper has a shiny and a not-shiny side...) the idea with it though is that it traps humdity right at the surface to encourage pin development. some species of mushrooms absolutely require casings, cubensis is not one of them though! but it does help a lot.
i'd highly suggest a normal casing in your monotub anyway. a casing encourages pin growth, supplies a moisture resivoir to developing fruits, and helps maintain humidity in the monotub. all good things if you're looking to maximize yields.

You do not have to case. If you're growing Cubensis in general, they do not need a casing. You will get a better pinset with a casing, but more monsters without. You have to make sure to dunk to rehydrate if you don't use one, but it will work fine.
