Led Zeppelin - The Song Remains the Same
    #5975848 - 08/18/06 01:03 PM (17 years, 5 months ago)

Wow.  Just...wow.  After an insane trip on the purest LSD I've ever had, we came back to my buddy's house and he popped this VHS in.  It was the strangest movie I'd seen, aside from the concerts.  Watching all of the fans outside Madison Square Garden cheering, then seeing the band step out and being escorted to the performance...made me feel like I was right there in the 70's.  I could only imagine how exciting that must have been.  All of the imagery and local color of the video just made me want to be a part of that so badly.  Back then it was all new, people were learning off of things they did.  That's such an important part of music history I want to witness.

Then the concert part starts, and I see something I had never seen before in a live performance.  Robert Plant seemed to just give himself up to the music.  He seemed to be in a trance, caring nothing more than, and thinking about nothing other than the music.  He'd stare blankly into the crowd and put so much of himself into his songs.

I definitely have a new found respect for Led Zeppelin.  The music feels real.  It has more life to it than most music I've heard and the artists portray it beautifully.  If I could go back in time and do one thing that wouldn't fuck up the future, I'd go see a live performance of Zeppelin.

Jimmy Paige also played a guitar with a bow...utterly insane to watch/listen to whilst tripping.

Led Zeppelin is truly amazing... and very crazy on any psychedelic indeed.

There's something about them though, they surpass any other rock group at that time to me for some reason.  I've heard some quality bands while on psychedelics, and even while straight...

Zeppelin is something different.  I can connect with them like no other band.  When I'm on psychedelics I can feel the music going through me, it feels a part of me and it brings me a peace that no other music has been able to do.

It is because of Jimmy Paige's deal with the devil. Everybody loves Zep,  but they have no idea it is because of the devil!

Jimmy page made no deal with the devil. That was a black kid named tommy at some crossroads in Mississippi:smirk:

Jimmy page worships the devil as much as Danny carey does.Having an interest in the occult and being evil are two different things.

LOL Gojeeda! Diddy came out with that song when I was too young to know who Jimmy Page was. I didn't see anyone else in that video except puffy and godzilla, and now that I've heard Zeppelin I'm in utter amazement that diddy had the balls to paste his name on that piece of crap.
