Snooze Setting on alarm clocks
    #5974718 - 08/17/06 11:28 PM (17 years, 5 months ago)

Why does the snooze always last for 9 minutes? It seems to be the way with EVERY alarm clock ever...

What's up with that? Why not 10 minutes?

Every alarm clock I've owned has had a 5 minute snooze.

It's too easy to calculate 10 minutes, i think.  9 minutes makes you think a little bit and wakes you up faster.

Just a guess.

set multiple clocks. its much harder to be late for things or completely miss something. i mean you have it all covered. you know you are going to wake up and want more sleep, but you know you need to get up. i suggest setting multiple clocks and stashing them all over the room so you have to get up. you'll get up turn on off but will be too tired to find the others until they go off. either way i wish there was some sort of service where you could have somebody come in and just change your clocks without you knowing. i mean say for instanceyou are always late because it just takes you forever to do things or whatever, im not implying this is me however i think it would come in handy; and your alarm goes off like an hour before you want to have it go off, but you dont know somebody fucked with your clock. you will get all your shit ready and blam once you realize what happened you will be way ahead of schedule. really i think its the best for the country if not THE WORLD. we need people to fuck with other peoples clocks, just think about all that could get done! lol i really need to get to bed. on that note peace.

I'm such a hard sleeper. My alarm clock is a vibrator! Really it is. No sound at all.

I just stick the small UFO looking thing under my pillow and It vibrates and wakes me up in the morning. Sound silly, i know. But its really nice not to wake up to an obnoxious beeping sound.

lemme tell ya, the snooze setting has almost led to me getting fired from many a job. its so tempting just to get 5 more mins of sleep...even though you know 5 mins isnt really gonna do anything.

Yeah the snooze button is my favorite drug :yesnod:

I had to move the alarm across the room so I had to get up to hit it.  otherwise, unconciously I sometimes would slide the alarm to off instead of tapping snooze

I think my snooze counts down from 9 minutes...like everytime you hit it you get one minute less, could just be my imagination tho, clearly I hit the snooze waaaaay too much.

I hit the snooze at least 3 times
before I get up. It is like a morning
coffee, if I don't get it, I'm a tad
grumpy! haha

I hardly ever use the snooze anymore, I set the time and get up when I need to, the snooze button made me late many times in my life.
