Ive been getting very interested in growing mushrooms, but I cant grow inside due to my parents. I dont currently have the money to buy any spores, so would there be anything I could do to have mushrooms pop up in my yard? I live in seattle and I have a big grassy yard along with a fairly big garden garden.

NO. you need spores to grow and even then you can't jsut inoculate your yard.

Just gank $20 man, mow the lawn or wash your folks cars. ralphstersspores.com has a nice deal going, strain of the month = MexiCube. Order a syringe and mention SOTM and get the MexiCube free. It says at the website that MexiCube will grow 55-85`F weather. So i guess its a good outdoor/topsecret kinda strain. Go to a UPS store and pay $55 for your own mailbox. Your folks will never know. Thats what I did! PEACE!!

Heres something you can attempt. First make a woodchip bed. Then go find some cyans or azures and grab some of the colonized material they are growing on and mix it into your woodchip bed. It's probably too late to get any this year though.
