Personally, I think LSD would be fine... As long as it does not lead to a gateway to other drugs. LSD is very special mind opening drug (and for a specific duration of time mind altering). It is important that this insight does not lead to the belief that other drugs can do the same thing. While most all drugs have mind altering effects, psychedelics such as LSD in particular have the least consequence. No physical damage or overdose potential and not a euphoric or addictive drugs. While other drugs may alter perception, they can be very addictive yet do not have near the ability to allow the mind to learn new wonderful things.
There is a lot of difference between getting high or stoned and tripping. One is a burn-out and the other is a potential gateway to the most beautiful parts of the mind and soul.

It's all variable; some people are ready at 15, some are ready at 50....some are never ready. I first dropped when I was 17, and I was def. ready...in fact, I'd say I would've been ready earlier, I just didn't get into the scene until I was 16, and then there was a years wait until it crossed my path. A year of research and questioning that all paid off when I got it and wound up taking a whole lot.
Your friend and his brother know best whether or not he's ready...if you think he is than go for it. What color are these gels if I may ask? I've had a bunch of the amber/orange colored ones this summer, so if that's what you have I can give you an idea of what to expect potentcy/cleanliness wise. Good luck.

If he really wants to do it let him, WITH SUPERVISION of course.
16 year olds tend to make bad decisions sober, let alone trippin on Alice. Also keep in mind that potency can vary VASTLY. Be sure you're not giving a newb something that turns out to be 5x.
A friend of mines brother flipped out once from eating some of my freshly harvested fungus. I guess he thought he was superman and decided to eat a whole 8th. I of course felt horrible guilt afterwards. Now everything comes with a BIG ASS WARNING. Not everyones minds are alike, what's childsplay to one person can be a ride to hell and back for another.

I totally agree, do not give a 16 yr old LSD and let him fry in his room alone. Loneliness can be absolutely killer when your alone and hallucinating.
