Brain swell?

Ok, I've read that the psilocybin mushrooms don't make your brain bleed, but I heard from a friend that they make your brain swell. Is this true?

No, they don't make your brain swell, bleed or dance the funky-chicken. I wish people would stop spreading rumors that they don't know as fact just to seem intelligent--it just messes everything up. The government approves of lying and being ignorant in order to control the people, saying that people need to "be informed" of the dangers of drugs. If that were true, we wouldn't have D.A.R.E. and a bunch of propaganda bullshit, Erowid would be the ones going to schools to educate kids. I find it funny how you can't lie to the government but the government can lie to you, and try to make you believe it to the point where you do indeed believe it and pass it on as "fact."

The thing is, even if it did make your brain swell, apparently it isn't doing damage because they've been used as long as humans have been around and everybody who does them with proper set, setting and dosage in mind comes out of it fine.

However, as with ALL substances, do not abuse mushrooms. Use them and learn from them once in a while--abuse can possibly really fuck with you, and a living example is Syd Barrett. He isn't propaganda, he is a living person who took so much acid and shrooms (because of the lack of information back in the 60's about hallucinogens among other reasons) that he truly mentally collapsed and this many years later is still recovering.
