i was walking around my lawn the other day and i found a couple of what apear to be Panaeolus subbalteatus. i was just looking for a second opinion to make sure. # Habitat - in the lawn # Characteristics of the gills - gills seem to be a grayish color (i'm a little color blind, might be pinkish) # Characteristics of the stem - thin, hollow, 3-6 cm long # Characteristics of the cap brownish tan color, conicular, 0.5 to 1.5 cm in width # Spore print color to me it seems black, # Color that the mushroom bruises- it bruises a redish brown color

Either Panaeolus Subbleatus or foes. Foes will have dark brown print almost black and subbs will have jet black spore print.

wrong. I think some Pan. subbalteatus specimens were mistaken for Paneaolina foenisecii, in research project, and later found that Paneaolina foen. did not contain any traces of triptomines. You seem to be studying up, and that is good. Keep up the research, and you will be surprised what you can find and ID.

Please do not spread misinformation guys! Panaleous Foenescii, which is what your mushrooms appear to be, are inactive.
