Alright, well I am very new to all this, so please, bare with me. I started this thread so I can just post my future ID requests in one single thread. So, I have been hunting 3 times now, and each time I came away empty handed. Last night however, I talked to a friend of a friend and he told me a field that they always go to. So we go out there, and we dont see anything. As we are leaving, my friend spots one single mushroom. Now, I already did a spore print (rusty brown = not good) but I wanted to ask you people to ID this one, just so I know what grows in this field. So without furthur ado, my first ID request thread. Sorry for the terrible quality picture (camera phone).
Habitat: Field - Growing out of cow poop, in some tall grass.
Gills: Brown.
Stem: White and hollow, pretty fragile, very skinny.
Cap: White, about an an inch and half in diameter.
Spore print color: Brown.
Bruising: No color change was observed.
Location: Picked in Brandon, FL.
My main question is, with this mushroom growing in that field, is there a chance of any active ones growing out there? Any info is greatly appreciated. I plan to go on many more hunts, so this thread will hopefully get updated alot. Thanks again.

not sure about the ID, doesnt look active. but yeah there could be actives, namely cubensis, in that field. by looking at your recent rain levels, its pretty conclusive that brandon hasnt had enough rain to support cubensis growth, i could be wrong on this, but In my fields I have noticed inactives popping up until there is a good 1-2" rain, then the cubensis starts to pop up as well. chances are you will find all sorts of mush when looking for cubensis. keep an eye on precipitation data found on weather.com, look at the monthly chart to find chances of rain as well as rain totals for previous days. go a day or two after a 2" rain, perhaps just a day if your friends already frequent that field. Looks like some rain will be headed your way next week. good luck

not active, if it were a cope, it would be blue. Copes regularly turn completely blue if handled too much(which yours appears to be)

Looks like a conocybe, though it would be strange to find it growing from poo. Might be a panaeolus. Either way, inactive.

I've not seen Conocybes grow out of poop, but I have seen them growing off of just abut everything else. They are picture perfect- err, well the picture is bad quality, but they certainly look like Conocybe lactea to me. The cap is all floppy.
Consider the mushroom poisonous. Keep looking.

Went out today to a field, didn't find much. Just found about 10 caps. It rained alot Monday night, and a little bit yesterday. So we go out there and find one cap. After we are looking around more there are a few here and there scattered in tall grass, but never more than 3 in a pile of shit. Well here is what we found, im gonna need an ID, these are all about quarter to half dollar sized caps. Would this many mushrooms be enough for 2 people?
Sorry for the bad quality pic again. I need to get a digital camera.

Weigh them out then get back to us. It's hard to eyeball doses with no size comparison or weight.

Thanks a lot man.
The next thing I need to do is invest in some sort of digital scale. I will look into that today. I must admit, I am now hooked. It's such a rewarding feeling finding my first cubes. This definatly isnt going to be my last time out there, hopefully I found a good field.
I just really want to thank all the members here, for having such useful information, and really helping us beginers out. Couldn't have found anything without this forum. Now I just want to be come as knowlegable as you guys, so I can help out the newer people. Thanks again!
