you beat us to it..."cobweb (it does dissappear when I hit it with H202)" see if you can get it all to dissappear...

or wait...
it doesnt disappear..
it just shrinks some.
actually i dont know about this.... but my last try (a different cake) had something similar that did shrink when i hit it with h202.
Havent tried hitting this yet. (at least not with straight (3%)H202)

I can't tell for sure from your pic but it looks like mycelium... cobweb will turn black I think.. As long as it stays white your good. In time you'll have no question as to whats what.
I take it this is the first time you've fruited a jar? The first time I ever did.... I was paranoid... the blueing reaction..... the black from spores falling.... everything was under question...
It just takes experience.

are you growing a pan? when i grew Pan Jamaican, a cobweb-like mecy covered the jar in about a week/2weeks followed by a slower growing stronger white Mecy.

umm... i think its b+
its been a long while since i bought tha stuff so i dont remember what it is exactly...
but anyway... update.. I sprayed both my casing and cake with some h202 and h20 mix, .. my casing seemed to disappear some (tha white stuff), but tha cake didnt. So I guess what was on tha cake wasnt cobweb after all (thank God).
But i could def. see tha casing shrink a little, tha cobweb stuff anyway. Ohh man, they better pin soon. Its been at least a week. If not, im gonna go crazy and be spraying mad h202 all over them all tha time. Which im sure cant be a good thing for tha myclemim. (haha, i cant spell..) but yeah,...
We shall see.
Keep this thread going, and I shall keep you all updated with my grow.
(if this thread dies like tha rest of mine do, i will assume no one cares, and i will do this alone.)

i had the same problem and when i sprayed mine with h2o2 it staled the casing from fruiting for a week or 2 longer than normal.

That's healthy mycelium. Quit beating it up with peroxide. Cobweb is airy and looks very much like an old spider web, only thicker. Your mycelium is slightly rhizomorphic and white, while cobweb never is rhizomorphic, and is grey in color.
Your first picture above shows distinct 'fans' of mycelium at the top of the image. That proves it's healthy mushroom mycelium. Peroxide will always shrink healthy mycelium because it's catastrophic on the cellular level to fungi. RR

yep ... dont use straight h202.. the oxygen burns things, 3% is too strong to use straight.
Just poor a little in your water you use to mist.
