Muktananda says

One day in Gurudev's presence, I referred to someone as a crook. Immediately Gurudev said, "Hey, Muktananda! Is there really any crooked person in this world? It is just the crookedness of your cleverness. Everything is the pervasion of the supreme truth. God has created the play of the world for His own pleasure. No one in the world is crooked." Ah how perfect he was. What Siddhahood!
He continued. "O, Muktananda! You are seeing with petty understanding. With this kind of awareness, you are heading in the wrong direction. Change your outlook. Correct your understanding. Then see that the world is just a play, an entertaining movie. It is neither true nor false. Know this secret. Only then will you attain something." What a great teaching this was, and how absolutely true.

It sounds to me that this teaching is suggesting a sort of blind passivity and blind love.
-------------------- "Now that the principalities and the powers stockpile weapons of mass destruction, contaminate the earth with their feverish industry, release floods of images to trigger insatiable desires, treat animals and humans as commodities and functions of a market, the devil must be grinning from ear to ear."

The notion that God got bored and decided to start conjuring shit out of nothing to amuse himself is somewhat troubling to me, but to each his own
-------------------- Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you." Luke 17:20-21 (New King James Version)

It's hard for me to take seriously anybody who calls the Dalai Lama ignorant.

It's just shunyatavidya versus brahmavidya. Not understanding the Dalai Lama's teachings is silly since they can be understood whereas purely God/dess oriented teachings can't be understood because they're Divine. I mean Sanatana Dharma might seem logical to you, but that's because it's based in Samkya and one would be starting with suppositions like purusha/prakriti. In Buddhism rather, there is dependent origination of 12 links on how samsara arises from avidya instead.
