silly question of morals
    #5969650 - 08/16/06 02:29 PM (17 years, 5 months ago)

let's say one week you only work for about 2 or 3 hours, but then you loose the payroll sheet and forget to turn it in, so the next week you replace the previously worked time into your current schedule.

say if you only worked 3 hours one day, you would put down four.
and the next if you only worked 2 you would put down 3.

till it's about evened out.

right / wrong / neutral / both?

you're being payed what you worked, but, you are misrepresenting hours.

If you did the work, you deserve the pay. I would think there would be a better way of going about getting it, but if not, then that way seems reasonable.

It **could** get you fired....
That kind of misrepresentation is considered fraud....
I have seen people get fired for forging time cards....
It depends on how strict/anal the management/human resources is for your workplace, but they are liable for the correct times....

Say you forged your time cards to say you were at work while you went and robbed the bank....
That is a general example, but the legal responsibilities for the company are pretty great....

There are better ways to get your money honestly....
***UNLESS*** your boss is ok with it....
