Hey guys, I'm 28 and totally new to the shroom scene. I've smoked pot for years and love the stuff but think it's time I tried shrooms since I've heard such good things. So I have a couple questions regarding my first time. a) Where should I do them? In my home? In the woods? b) Should I do them with other people or alone? c) Anything I shouldn't eat? I've heard they can make your stomach a little upset.
Thanks for throwing me a bone...

All the "answers" are easily found on this website.
Do them in a setting where you feel comfortable, with people less likely to keep you anxious, or worried...
Do them around people you trust, if you're to do them with people.
I personally like tripping around people, I usually feel pretty confident while tripping... but it can EASILY go the other way, EASILY.
So do them in a setting where you feel you can easily "control" the environs. (Obviously you can't make couches fly and shit, but say if the TV was bothering you, or a song was on you didn't like, place yourself in a position where you can easily change these things.
If possible, you should get some friends together and go to the woods on a nice day for a few hours.
If you cannot do that, try them at your house... Unless your house can be uncomfortable. When they hit you, it's nice to go walk around.
Don't expect too much, and don't expect horribly frightening visuals... Just let it flow, regardless...

Depends on what you want to get out of the experience. I would personally recommend going to a woods where there won't be a lot of people around. Bring a close friend who is also interested in shrooms and take a small dose to start with. Try not to have any expectations about "tripping out" or anything like that. Just let it come and experience everything with an open mind. I like to eat mushrooms on an empty stomach. If it's during the day I will be eating them I usually won't eat anything else earlier in the day. If it's at night and I know I'll be doing it I eat very lightly during the day. This isn't to avoid nausea (I've got a pretty iron-tight stomach), but more to prepare yourself for the experience. You're more alert and active when you're a little bit hungry. Being hungry during the day keeps your mind focused on why you are hungry, and what you plan on doing. This will also aid in the absorbtion of active chemicals in the mushrooms.
Bring a bit of weed with you, but not a whole lot. Maybe a small joint or a couple of bowls worth and a pipe. If the nausea gets to be a bit much smoke a 'lil. Avoid going overboard, though, as too much weed can make your trip kind of a blur, and it's awesome to experience mushrooms all by themselves.
Just remember to be safe, and don't do anything foolish -- remember you've got more than your personal safety on your hands. Every person who does something dumb while tripping only gives the Anti-Drug people more ammunition.

It all depends on you, and on what you want out of the experience. If you want to be eased into the "shroom scene", I suggest maybe taking 1.5-3.5 grams with a few trusted friends and going for a hike or camping trip in a secluded area. Good weather and good companions usually make for a fun experience. If you want to do some serious introspection and explore your inner space, do them by yourself, maybe in silent darkness or maybe drawing and listening to your favorite music. My own humble recommendation: no tv, no computer! Don't waist your experience on packaged two-dimensionality!
Have fun!

My body I will give to pleasures, to diversions that I’ve dreamed of, to the most daring erotic desires, to the lustful impulses of my blood, without any fear at all, for whenever I will— and I will have the will, strengthened as I’ll be with contemplation and study— at the crucial moments I’ll recover my spirit as was before: ascetic.”
