One of the caps on my newly sprouted shrooms has some white fuzz growing on it. I just got back from a long weekend so I have no idea how long its been there. Its just growing on the cap and not the stem. Should I be worried, or is this normal? This is my first time growing so I dont know what to expect. If anyone could lend some insight, that would be great. Thanks.
A lot of times if your humidity is off, you will get mushroom mycelium growing on the fruit bodies. Usually this growth shows up in two places, along the base of the stem and as a "crown" on top of the cap. If its bright white you have nothing to worry about.
