What's going on?

I've been growing enthnos for a little while now, but I have encountered my first real problem, and I was wondering if anyone could give me any insight as to what is happening. I bought some leonotis leonurus seeds, but now it's not quite looking like leonurus, so I'm not exactly sure if it is or isn't. But anyway, I came home one day and found some of the plants leaves turning yellow and falling off. Also there were some marks on the leaves. Since i'm new to this I don't really know what it is, but im guessing it's a disease or some pest, possibly a worm. Can anyone identify the problem and let me know how to fix it. I don't want to lose my babies.

By the looks of those marks on your leaves,I would say you had a leaf miner problem(Larvae of either flies or moths).Feeding by the maggots causes long, linear white mines as they move inside the leaf. As for a remedy I would suggest removing infected parts and also trying to attract beneficial insects to your garden-eg hover flies, wasps
Peace

Thank you both very much.I had my suspicions about the true i.d. of the plant. And as for the leaf miners, I did what you said. I looked them up, and recognized one of the bugs, so chances are you were right on the money with your diagnosis. I hope this will solve my problem.

I'd say 100%,only one thing does that to plants. Was the bug you spotted a tiny maggot with a black head by any chance?

no. I didn't see any maggots. Earlier today I was out in my backyard and I spotted a Chrysomelidae or a Curculionidae. http://www.chemical-ecology.net/insects/leafmine.htm they are about halfway down the page. Since they are leaf miners, I just put 2 and 2 together.

you can oust the leafminer. just look for it between the leaf layers at the end of a line, then break the layer and pull it out, crisis ended.

Good stuff! You have different insects in the states than here, but a leaf miner is a leaf miner- Remember it's not the adult bug that does the damage,it's the larvae/babies.
Happy growing

eh. I just cut the leaves off. They aren't as bushy now, but i'm not after the leaves anyway. It's the flowers that I want. Plus I have about 20+ of them. However, i'll keep that in mind from now on. Hopefully I got them all though. Thanks.

Well, about a month has passed and it was going good for a while, but I've had another problem. Recently the leaves on my nepetaefolia have been looking quite bad. It starts at the top most part of the pant and has them curl up and turn black. then it works its way down the plant. I'm wondering if anyone knows what this is. Keep in mind that I am new to this, so i'm sorry if it's a very basic thing that i'm not getting. Could it be under watering, over watering, temperature problem, pest, fungus, nutrient deficiency or to many nutrients, confined roots?
