    Hello, My jars are just now starting to colonize. I have two jars innoculated with PF spores, one with Hawaiin and one with the fairly new race "Stropharia". The Stropharia is many steps ahead of the other jars in terms of colonising, and I was curious (as a newbie) as to anyone who's had any success with this race. I was also wondering if black dots (look like the spores I saw in the syringes) were common to see on the outside of the mycelium. I noticed about 5 or six black specs in my Stropharia jar.

i am curious to why i havnt heard of this strain-where can i get info on it? is it a cubensis? what kind of mush is it?
where did you get your spores?

Stropharia isn't a race it is the scientific name of the common psychedelic mushroom, stropharia cubensis, the vendor that you got it from must not classify them in different categories like many of us do, there is no telling which race you have but if they are colonizing quickly and doing good then thats great, which vendor did you get the stropharia syringe from? If the black spots mutiply then you may have a problem, just keep an eye on them, good luck

whoever labelled it just didnt know too much about cubensis.... that is just part of the scientific name for cubensis so technically all strains are strophoria...
