I'm pretty lucky I live on a farm in the sticks, never have to walk any more than 10/15 minutes but even that can be a chore lol.

I've got a bunch of forest preserves all around my house...most I have to travel is 20mi. Interesting how each forest preserve has different mushrooms than the others.

5 miles to huge P. baeosystis patch. 5 miles to decent P. cyanescens (wild) patch. 50 miles (one way) to very large P. cyanescens patch. 20 miles (one way) to very large P. semilanceata field.

I envy you, good sir! I only pick locally, but might start picking within 20-40 miles in my area. Maybe poke into wisconsin 20 miles or so because there are tons of pastures out there, and only a few horse pastures on my side of the pond.

Well, usually I just pick locally, but I've been hunting in every corner of the country. North East, PNW, South West, South East, Mid West, etc. Up and down both East and West coasts.. I have family in the PNW and FL. While visiting them on road trips, I always did a bit of hunting here and there. Went to most of the other places for road trip/vacation purposes.
Sometimes I travel across one of the nearby state lines: PA, NJ, or MD which are only 10-20 miles away at most.

You ranges don't give my travel distance credit. I put locally, but my primary weilii patch is ~50m from my home. Soon, hopefully, there will be a weilii patch less than 1m from my home. This is what people mean when they say "my mushrooms are totally free, man!" I seriously don't have to expend any money or extra energy than I normally would in a day to harvest my sacrament. I love Georgia.

Travelling is ritualistic for me... sure I have woods a mile away I could hunt in, but I like the journey of driving at least 20 miles away...
I go somewhere different all the time, except for the chanterelle patches...

The nearest fields I know for actives are about 150 miles away, so perhaps 35 dollars total on gas there and back for about 1 dry ounce. Of course there are other things in H-town that make the trip worthwhile. There are tons of other fields in the area too, but once my car is packed to the gills with mushrooms, I tend to get a bit paranoid. Ive made the trip there and back in about 6 hours, spending only 10 minutes in the field(it is a very small but productive field).
