ok 4 concerns/questions...
1. I plan on using a 50/50 casing with peat and verm.... I went and got my peat moss but it says canadian sphagnum peat moss is this ok?
2. How many cakes should I use for a 14 7/16" x 10 5/8" lasagna pan?
3. Better to crumble, or slice the cakes then use crumbled matierial in the gaps? I definatley dont wanna damage these bad boys or its gonna be another month till I have more cakes ready =X
4. I got some powdered oyster shell from a pet store how much should I use for this casing? Mix it right into the substrate material right? I've heard 10% weight is good.....
Thanks so much to all of your for your help!

1. thats the stuff
2. you didn't say how deep it is. but save us some trouble and do some math. LxWxH will give you cubic inches. a half pint cake takes about 13 cubic inches (rounded down, its actually 14.4 but you'll wanna scrape that verm layer out). leave yourself a half inch or so for your casing layer.
3. crumbling is fine, you won't hurt anything
4. you heard right
