in the south of holland we have very old limestone caves, they were made by man some of them date back from the roman times. There are several hundreds of kilometers of em. I tripped there once but it gave us totally the wrong vibe. Everything seemed very cold and lifeless. Out in the forest is much better.

i took a tour of the catacombs when i was in france very long ago. i was probably only 13 years old. i would never trip down there unless it was cleaned up, well lit with candles lining the walls, filled with pleasant music, and had maps available at different spots within... but that's not gonna happen

I think the catacombs were built by the romans to bury their dead, or some religious people that began the practicing of earth buriels rather than cremation. Then when the romans persecuted christians, christians held secret meetings down there with the city's dead.
What if you took a huuuuuuge ball of string with you so you could find your way back? I heard the catacombs weren't hard, if not kind of easy, to get into.
Yea, I doubt i'd trip there. I don't think it's right to surround yourself with that kind of energy...espcially on any drug. Being scared for fun is another story...real demonic stuff or like...stuff like that...sends a shiver down my spine.

Reminds me of the Ossuary of Seldec (there are better pics out there, even an official site, I think - but this gives you the basic idea.) Of course, I still think the catacombs would be creepier...

I didn't know it was illegal to go down into the catacombs. When i went to paris with my family, we all got to go down there with no problems. I wanted to smoke down there but tripping would be too scary.

Yup, i know someone who took acid in the catacombs, but not in the graveyard part, it was in one of those tunnels where people goes more or less secretly to rave, meet and have "fun" (like duss69 talked about)... I don't know the story of his trip, but what do you think ...
of course he had a bad trip !!!
...but strangely, his bad trip was triggered by the fact that his stomach hurted for laughing too much !!!!

Tripping in the catacombs would be hard if you didnt prepare. I think a small dose on a public tour would rock!

I would definitely do it. Seriously, how many times do you get a chance to do something like that.... and besides the point it would be worlds more entertaining than doing "the usual" while tripping. I would gladly do it, but only if I had a sober person with me.
And a question, how exactly do you get "down there"? ??
