Pin set questions

My friend has a few cakes right now growing and the first flush looks very healthy but the caps seem to be very small and the stems stretched a bit. He gave them more light but he was wondering what other things would cause small caps? Thanks for any input and if a picture is needed it can be posted as well.

It could just be a result of the multispore growing an unfavorable strain. Advanced growers know how to separate the best mycelia from the rest so they're guaranteed the fullest and meatiest fruits. Other than that try adjusting your humidity levels, and give them more fresh air.
