finding people

So I live in a house with 5 other people. It's a big house, and rent is cheap. We recently had one roommate move out without telling anyone (and while nobody was around) and he owes about $3k in back rent (nevermind how he came to owe so much, that's not my deparment). I know he moved back in with his parents, and that if he continues to refuse to pay, we can get the money from them, but I don't know their names or where they live, all I know is the guy's name that moved out. He wasn't on the lease but he lived here for roughly a year (half of us aren't on the lease, though. Only the long-term tenants are.).
So I'm wondering if anyone knows a cheap (or free) way of finding someone with just a name and rough location. I also know his last place of employment, which he left a day before he moved out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, since his back rent equals out to around $600 for each other tenant.

Good luck getting any money from him if he wasn't on the lease.

um, best to write it off, you failed to evict him after the second no-pay, it's obvious he wont give you anything and all you'll get from the parents is arrested for harrassment and intimidation

his parent are legit regular middle class people...I've met them.... they will pay his debt, regardless of whether or not he was on the lease. All I want to know is how to find the fool... getting the money once I find him wont be an issue.

Maybe a people finder on the internet could help track him down, other than that its kinda hard if he's that anonymous

well that's always an option, but if I was willing to spend the money to do that I wouldnt have had to post here asking for a free/cheaper way to do it

50 dollars to obtain 3000, it maybe worth the risk who knows, plus you can track some other past aquaintences that you forgot about

paying our rent has never been a problem, the rest of us make good money... we just dont like getting screwed out of three grand if we can get it back with minimal effort.
Just $50 for a detective? Hmmm... thought it'd be more than that... definitely an option.

I think the $50 was referring to one of the people-finder websites.
