Are these pins? And also, how do you think my cakes are doing?

nope, that's not rhizomorphic growth... but you do have hyphal knots, and those white balls are going to turn into primoria/pins very very soon... YOU CAN DO IT!

There is definitely some rhizo growth going on also and you should see pins any day now.

Well, my grow log is here: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/5934922/an/0/page/1
But, they have been in the fruiting chamber since August 9th. So 4 days... and the temperature keeps fluctuating but the temp is around 72-78, perfect for fruiting i read. I keep the AC on to keep them cooler than the incubation. RH is 99%. And this is the seventeenth day
I dunked the cakes in a solution of: 1 part coffee, 89 parts water, and 10 parts 3% Hydrogen Peroxide. I read in the coffee experiment that the coffee helped pinning, so I tried that out. They were dunked in the fridge for 18 hours then birthed in the fruiting chamber.
I also inoculated 15 more ziploc containers yesterday... So I'll keep everyone updated

Just a note for your next project. I'm one of the biggest proponents of using coffee, but be very careful dunking in it. That puts a nutritious layer right on the surface where contaminant spores land, thus feeding them.
Coffee grinds and coir are both substrate materials, so for your next project, I'd suggest using them for that instead, then casing with something non-nutritious such as peat/verm. RR

72-78 is a little too much fluctuating, do your best to keep it 75 at all times. The fluctuating may make the project slow down by a day or two.

Anything between 74-77F is optimal and will give fastest growth so your doing just fine, be patient
